Minimum specifications for Keytime products
Hardware specifications
So that you get the most out of your software your computer must be capable of running the software effectively. The following guide gives you the information you need to check that your software will work properly on your hardware.
As well as the minimum requirements we also provide a recommended specification. Whilst the software will run on the minimum supported hardware, we strongly recommend that you upgrade to at least the recommended configuration as soon as possible.

Operating Systems
The following shows the operating systems we support and when we will stop supporting them. We mirror the Microsoft timeline for Extended support – if you can still receive security updates from Microsoft, we will continue to support that version. If your operating system isn’t listed we will not be able to support you.

Windows Server 2008: Standard, Enterprise, or Datacenter editions (Service Pack 2) Server 32-bit and 64-bit versions. | Not Supported. From 14th January 2020 this operating system is out of Microsoft’s extended support. As a result, IRIS Keytime products running on Windows 7 will no longer be supported from our April 2020 release v20.1.0 and beyond. |
Windows Server 2008 R2: Foundation, Standard, Enterprise, or Datacenter editions (Service Pack 1) | Not Supported. From 14th January 2020 this operating system is out of Microsoft’s extended support. As a result, IRIS Keytime products running on Windows 7 will no longer be supported from our April 2020 release v20.1.0 and beyond. |
Windows Server 2012: Essentials, Foundation, Standard, Enterprise, or Datacenter editions | Supported. From 10th October 2023 this operating system will be out of Microsoft’s extended support. As a result, IRIS Keytime products will not be supported from our Summer 2024 v24.1.0 and beyond. |
Windows Server 2012 R2: Essentials, Foundation, Standard, Enterprise, or Datacenter editions | Supported. From 10th October 2023 this operating system will be out of Microsoft’s extended support. As a result, IRIS Keytime products will not be supported from our Summer 2024 v24.1.0 and beyond. |

Microsoft EOL Support
Microsoft Operating Systems
From 14th January 2020 the following 3 operating systems are out of Microsoft’s extended support:
- Windows Server 2008 SP2
- Windows Server 2008 R2
- Windows 7
As a result, IRIS products will no longer be supported on these operating systems from our 2020 Spring release v20.1.0 and beyond.
Note: While IRIS Keytime products may continue to work using the above operating systems, they will not be tested in these environments and we will not be able to offer support to customers using them.
